No, insurance companies will only authorize prescriptions for the following refill. You are more than welcome to pay cash for the first fill, or wait for the prior authorization to be approved. Prior authorizations vary in time, depending on both physician and insurance company. An average wait is 5 to 10 business days.
Yes!! Delivery Service is important to patients with physical and health limitations, and for hospice and convalescent home care. All of our store products are available to all customers on the Monterey Peninsula. Call (831) 372-8085 for details.
Contact us at (831) 372-8085 and the staff will collect the necessary information and the pharmacist will complete the prescription transfer.
(Please note: transfer laws vary from state to state, therefore some prescriptions may not be transferable.)
Compounding is the precise preparation of customized medications, dose strengths and dose forms to meet a patient’s special needs.
These medications are not readily available from most drug stores or manufacturers. But we can produce them in our state-of-the- art compounding laboratory.
1. Medicare Part B will cover 80% of the cost of diabetes supplies for patients with diabetes once you have met your deductible.
2. Blood glucose monitors, test strips, lancing devices, lancets and control solution are covered.
3. Please bring in your Medicare card and a prescription from your physician to Ordway and our staff will process the necessary paperwork.
Contact your staff at Ordway to request a copy of your prescription history. The pharmacist can print your profile and mail it to the address we have in your pharmacy record, or have it ready for you to pick up at your earliest convenience.
Unfortunately, we do not have access to insurance plan information. Please contact your insurance company directly for assistance or you can check with us at Ordway. The insurance company should be able to provide you with a list of participating pharmacies in your area.
