  • Does my medication fall into your savings plan if I have no insurance?

1. We have savings on over 5,000 name brand and generic     medications.

2. No prior authorizations are required.

3. Our plan is good for people of all ages.

4. If you do not have prescription drug coverage or your insurance     does not cover all your prescription drug needs, the Good Neighbor
    Pharmacy® Prescription Savings Club Card can provide significant     savings on medications for you and your family

  • Can I pay cash for my medication and get reimbursed once my prior authorization goes through if it is required?

No, insurance companies will only authorize prescriptions for the following refill. You are more than welcome to pay cash for the first fill, or wait for the prior authorization to be approved. Prior authorizations vary in time, depending on both physician and insurance company. An average wait is 5 to 10 business days.

  • Do you deliver? How much is it? When can I expect my delivery?

Yes!! Delivery Service is important to patients with physical and health limitations, and for hospice and convalescent home care. All of our store products are available to all customers on the Monterey Peninsula. Call (831) 372-8085 for details.

  • How do I transfer my prescription to Ordway?

Contact us at (831) 372-8085 and the staff will collect the necessary information and the pharmacist will complete the prescription transfer.

(Please note: transfer laws vary from state to state, therefore some prescriptions may not be transferable.)

  • Do you compound prescriptions?

Compounding is the precise preparation of customized medications, dose strengths and dose forms to meet a patient’s special needs. These medications are not readily available from most drug stores or manufacturers. But we can produce them in our state-of-the- art compounding laboratory.

  • Can I get my diabetes supplies filled under my Medicare card?

1. Medicare Part B will cover 80% of the cost of diabetes supplies for     patients with diabetes once you have met your deductible.

2. Blood glucose monitors, test strips, lancing devices, lancets and     control solution are covered.

3. Please bring in your Medicare card and a prescription from your     physician to Ordway and our staff will process the necessary     paperwork.

  • How can I obtain a print out of my medications for the past year(s)?

Contact your staff at Ordway to request a copy of your prescription history. The pharmacist can print your profile and mail it to the address we have in your pharmacy record, or have it ready for you to pick up at your earliest convenience.

  • Do you take my insurance card?

Unfortunately, we do not have access to insurance plan information. Please contact your insurance company directly for assistance or you can check with us at Ordway. The insurance company should be able to provide you with a list of participating pharmacies in your area.
